From pixels to possibility.

Forma scans small regions of your image in a winding path from left to right, preserving both horizontal and vertical detail. The pixels choose the notes and rhythm—not a preset melody.

Color & contrast → melody
Local hue, saturation, and brightness select notes in a pentatonic scale. Edges and changes between regions create shorter notes; smoother, darker regions create longer notes.
Brightness → volume
Brighter regions become louder notes, with darker areas creating quieter passages.
Texture → harmonics
Ambient keeps a soft, dry tone. Melodic adds warm harmonics and room reverb. Electronic uses heavy saturation and a long reverb tail; Texture increases its distortion drive.
